I've been taking systems apart since Turbo Pascal.
I'm Tomáš. I went from programming competitions to running a distributed PHP platform on 600+ Kubernetes pods — backends moving millions of euros a month. I do DDD, event-driven architecture, and lately: keeping AI adoption sane. I use AI every day and I still think we've all gone slightly crazy.

How We Can Work Together
Strategic Assessment
2–4 weeks
- Domain complexity review
- Architecture and messaging audit
- Risk analysis and roadmap
Event Storming Intensive
1–2 weeks
- Big Picture + Design‑Level sessions
- Bounded contexts and contracts
- Integration patterns
Implementation Partnership
3–12 months
- CQRS/event sourcing design
- Messaging/observability rollout
- Mentoring and standards
What I Do Best
Three things, done many times: architectures with honest boundaries, migrations that don't require a stop-the-world rewrite, and engineers who level up while I'm there.
System Architecture
Domain-driven architectures that evolve with the business. Clear boundaries, explicit contracts, and reliable messaging.
- DDD, Context Mapping, Bounded Contexts
- Contracts & versioning (JSON Schema)
- Hexagonal & modular design
- Architecture reviews and governance
Distributed Architecture
Event-driven platforms with CQRS and event sourcing. Delivery guarantees, backpressure, and observability baked in.
- CQRS & Event Sourcing
- Messaging patterns and routing
- Resilience, retries, and supervision
- Tracing, metrics, and SLOs
Modernization & Leadership
Move from monolith to domain-aligned systems while growing teams and establishing sustainable delivery.
- Event Storming facilitation
- Strangler Fig, anti‑corruption layers
- Hiring, mentoring, engineering standards
- Delivery enablement (CI/CD, IaC)
My Approach to Architecture
Start with the domain. Use events to capture reality. Design for change. Architectures should make flow and boundaries obvious, failure visible, and operations calm.
I emphasize collaborative discovery, explicit contracts, and incremental evolution. The outcome: systems that are understandable, observable, and resilient under load.
Core Values
Domain First
Let business language shape models, services, and boundaries.
Explicit Contracts
Message schemas and APIs are versioned, documented, and governed.
Observability by Default
Tracing and metrics are first‑class to support calm operations.
Evolution Over Big‑Bang
Prefer incremental modernization with safe migration patterns.
AI as amplifier, not replacement
The forklift can lift more than you. Go to the gym anyway.
How I got here

Got a system nobody can fully explain?
Whether it grew that way over ten years or an AI generated it last sprint — I can help. First call is free and I'll tell you if I'm not the right person.
